July 19th, 2008
After hiking halfway up Mt. Meeker (13,911ft), we stopped on a rocky ridge and decided to take in the scenery. As we relaxed, I told Allison that we were at a special place because this spot overlooks the stone church that we both love so much. When I turned to her and asked if she'd really want to get married there, she said, "Well, it'd be cool". Then I kinda asked her jokingly, well who would you marry? She looked at me like I was a little nuts, and she responded "I don't know... you?". So that's when I pulled out the ring, and I asked her to marry me. I don't think she could have been more surprised. She kept saying "Are you serious?" over and over again. After realizing I was serious and calming down a bit, she said yes. Her response wasn't the quickest, but I definitely realize that I had a heck of a lot more time to think about this than she did. The first picture below was taken from where I proposed, the second, third, and fourth are of her ring, and the last one is of the church where we hope to get married.

That church is absolutely amazing!
Jen didn't really even give me an answer...more of just a slight nod while shaking uncontrollably...
